How long will it take for my pieces to get through bisque firing?

-Greenware will take 2-3 weeks to get through the bisque firing. This is due to the careful drying process, kiln scheduling, and the fact that wet work cannot be fired immediately. During busy times, backlogs can cause additional delays, but typically, the bisque firing will be completed within this timeframe.

How long will it take for my pieces to get through the glaze firing?

-Glazed pieces will take 2-3 weeks to get through the firing process. This timeframe accounts for the necessary drying of glaze, proper loading of the kiln, and careful firing to ensure the glaze sets correctly. During busy times, backlogs and scheduling constraints may cause delays, but typically, the glazing process will be completed within this timeframe.

I can’t find my pieces on the pickup shelves! What should I do?

-If you can't find your pieces on the shelf, be sure to check all the bisque pickup shelves, as occasionally items can end up in the wrong area. Also, don't forget to look on the hospital shelf. Please note that staff is not responsible for misplaced work or helping members and students locate their pieces. You are always welcome to ask if staff have seen your piece, but ultimately, you are responsible for tracking and finding your own work.
